The North West provides an array of unusual topography with its roaring sandstone ridges sitting on a Lewisian Gneiss base which provides some great scrambles on the classics such as Liathach, An Teallach & East Buttress on Beinn Eighe. Its just another extraordinary region of Scotland that hooks you, craving to come back for more!
Ascend some of the classic ridges throughout north west Scotland
Coaching with movement to become more confident on scrambling terrain
Due to the variety of weather conditions encountered in Scotland this course is run with a conditions based approach, meaning that your instructor/guide will use the best of conditions to maximise safety, your learning and overall experience throughout your course. Below is a sample itinerary.
Day 1 An Teallach
What a classic to get us started! A big day lies ahead with most of the day being mainly walking but with the traverse of the pinnacles to spice it up! One of many people's favourites in the whole of Scotland.
Day 2 Liathach
Another sought after classic with most people opting to bypass the best part! After taking in the first Munro we head down towards the Fasarinen Pinnacles for fun to start, some up and down and traversing leads us to the next col before heading up towards the summit of Mullach an Rathian.
