We will check river levels and choose an appropriate venue based on our aims covered during conversations before the course. If conditions allow we could head to the middle Findhorn. Focusing on the elements required to run more advanced rapids. Areas such as river reading, keeping the boat stable during manoeuvres. Using river features to maximise efficiency on the water and naturally look at leadership as we make our way down the river.
Day two will be structured around what day one highlights but we will have the opportunity to be able to apply the skills on a new section of moving water for some variation. We will also chat about boat setup, kit carried, rescue equipment and the opportunity to cover any areas that have arisen during the two days.

While it's not legally required, we strongly recommend that you secure comprehensive travel/activity insurance before your trip to Scotland. Our courses involve outdoor adventures where weather conditions or unforeseen events could cause cancellations or prevent attendance. Having insurance ensures that you're financially protected if these situations arise. For example, many adventurers opt for specialized coverage such as Sports Cover Direct's offerings for canoe holidays or winter climbing, and the British Mountaineering Council also provides tailored policies for mountaineering activities. We encourage you to review these options and choose a policy that best suits your needs for peace of mind during your adventure.
